Free tasting and Master Class
It´s natural limits follow the line made by the Dentelles de Montmirail range to the East, the Ouvéze River to the West, the Trignon Creek in the North and the hills leading down from the Dentelles to the South.

Speech of the ambassador
Gigondas achieved Cru status in 1971. With the lowest annual yield in France of only 36 hecto-litres per hectare, the association of noble varietals such as Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvedre helps produce a very delicate palette of Gigondas wines.

Everybody´s Darling
Young winemaker Justine Saurel, already impressed all visitors at the free tasting in the french embassy, by her natural and biodynamic charisma.

At the dinner in the evening all participants were impressed and able to admire her German language skills during her wine speech, … and taste to get to know her wines.

My favourite wine of the day

Terroir: Grenache secteur “Montmirail”, á 200m d´altitude sur sables argileux, marnes et débris calcaires; Syrah secteur Pourra á 400m sur marnes du Crétacé recouvertes d´´eboulis calcaires.

My degustation note:
A wine that presents itself very youthful despite a maturity of over 15 years.
Ripe berries fruit notes, cassis, spicy with red peppers, chilly and an elegant vanilla note. Endless final with enamel, depth and a maturing potential of at least 5 more years.
Fin!
Thank you Babsi Wanner / Organize Communication Team for invitation and friendship! 🙂
