VINIS TERRAE

… is an exclusively professional fair specialized in the quality wines and spirits from Galicia. Its mission is to present its products to potential national buyers and importers from several countries around the world. It will be held at the exhibition center of Expourense (Ourense – Galicia – Spain) from the 1 to the 2 April 2019.

Already turned into a BUSSINESS CENTRE in which potential buyers and importers can hold meetings with producers from the different appellations of origin of Galicia.

VINIS TERRAE will allow the visitor to know first-hand the different products of Galician wineries and cooperatives that are opening up to the international market. At the same time, they can enjoy their stay in a thermal city as well as taste the famous Galician gastronomy and visit the wineries.

… ist eine ausschliesslich professionelle Messe, die sich auf Qualitätsweine und Spirituosen aus Galicien spezialisiert hat. Die Aufgabe ist es, Produkte potenziellen nationalen Käufern und Importeuren aus verschiedenen Ländern der Welt zu präsentieren. Sie findet vom 1. bis 2. April 2019 auf dem Messegelände von Expourense (Ourense – Galicia – Spanien) statt.

Expourense ist bereits in ein BUSSINESS CENTRE umgewandelt, in dem sich potentielle Käufer und Importeure mit Herstellern aus den verschiedenen Ursprungsbezeichnungen Galiziens treffen können.

VINIS TERRAE ermöglicht es dem Besucher, die verschiedenen Produkte der galizischen Weingüter und Genossenschaften, für den internationalen Markt zu öffnen, aus erster Hand zu beziehen. Gleichzeitig können die Besucher ihren Aufenthalt in einer Thermalstadt genießen, die berühmte galizische Küche probieren und die Weingüter besuchen.

Under the protection of the slopes of our rivers and valleys, the Romans began the viticulture tradition in the province of Ourense, where they planted vineyards and build wineries. Benedictine and Cistercian monks found in this territory the ideals conditions to promote the cultivation of the vine, under the district of the great monasteries that are still part of our heritage.

Ourense houses 7.000 hectares of production protected by four of the five Appellations of Origin of Galicia. Ribeiro, whose municipalordinanaces of 1579 are recognized as the first sign of a protected indication in Spanish law. Valdeorras that was born with the vacation to recover some of the native varieties that today internationally prestige our wines. Rias Baixas and Ribeira Sacra, exponent of heroic viticulture and Monterrei, the youngest but the least cutting edge regulatory council.

Unter dem Schutz der Hänge unserer Flüsse und Täler begannen die Römer die Weinbautradition in der Provinz Ourense, wo sie Weinberge pflanzten und Weingüter bauten. Benediktiner- und Zisterziensermönche fanden in diesem Gebiet die idealen Bedingungen vor, um den Anbau der Rebe unter dem Bezirk der großen Klöster zu fördern, die noch immer zu unserem Erbe gehören.

Ourense beherbergt 7.000 Hektar Produktionsfläche, die von vier der fünf Ursprungsbezeichnungen Galiziens geschützt wird. Ribeiro, dessen Stadtbezirke von 1579 als erstes Zeichen einer geschützten Angabe im spanischen Recht anerkannt sind. Valdeorras, das mit dem Urlaub geboren wurde, um einige der einheimischen Sorten zu gewinnen, die heute unsere Weine international rühmen. Rias Baixas und Ribeira Sacra, Vertreter des heroischen Weinbaus, und Monterrei, der jüngste, aber am wenigsten überragende Regulierungsrat.

José Gonzales Vazquez Conselleiro do Medio Rural – Xunta de Galicia explains…

Its Quality and its connection with the territory are two chracteristics that define very well the wines and moonshines of our land. This excellence and identity distingush them in the different markets and give them a fundamental added value for our rural environment.

That is why Xunta supports its production, promotion and commercialization. So, also, we are working on a plan to revitalize our five appellations of origin, always in collaboration with the sector. Besides it deals with promoting synergies with other areas, such as the hostel industry and the tourism, that constitude some valuable allies in this task of boosting our wine production.

Seine Qualität und seine Verbindung mit dem Territorium sind zwei Merkmale, die die Weine und Mondscheine unseres Landes sehr gut definieren. Diese Exzellenz und Identität machen sie auf den verschiedenen Märkten zu einem entscheidenden Mehrwert für unsere ländliche Umwelt.

Deshalb unterstützt Xunta seine Produktion, Werbung und Vermarktung. Wir arbeiten auch an einem Plan, um unsere fünf Ursprungsbezeichnungen immer in Zusammenarbeit mit der Branche zu revitalisieren. Darüber hinaus befasst es sich mit der Förderung von Synergien mit anderen Bereichen, wie der Hostelbranche und dem Tourismus, die einige wertvolle Verbündete bei dieser Aufgabe zur Steigerung unserer Weinproduktion bilden.
